Author Paul Geraghty paid a visit to the Wellington College library today and met with students in Reception through Y5 in 2 different sessions. He enthralled the students with his stories, his Corkan (his own invented language using sounds he grew up with in South Africa), and his beautiful illustrations. He left behind two amazing pictures for us to display in the library: a comical mosquito and a fearsome dinosaur. He captivated the children by telling his stories while he drew the pictures and showed them how to build a drawing from pencil to marker to shading with color. Several students purchased autographed copies of Mr. Geraghty’s books which he personalized for each one. The library purchased copies of his books as well so everyone can enjoy the stories throughout the year!

It was a wonderful day in the library!
